windsurfing is expensive !! For a new wind- or kitesurf
equipment you usually have to
spend a lot of
money.

An advantage of streetsurfing is
that because of the big
material
wear and tear
often older resp.
second-hand stuff is used,
anyway.

Low equipment costs

Especially windsurfers who
still have not made any ex-
periences with the
hard
concrete
and would like
to go fast, are kindly ad-
vised to use
protective
wear.

Put a helmet on your head !!

In accordance with my
experience the minimal
protection-equipment is

helmet
kneepads
ellbowpads
firm glooves
nonabrasive pants,
e.g. jeans

All in all:

Going streetsurfing and having fun
is much easier than going
windsurfing.

************* Warning *************

It is not recommended to use a
trapez
for windskating except for kiteskating.

Skateboard
The skateboard is the
most important part. When
investing money, do it here.

It is important that it has
robust
wheels and trucks
and it should
be about
80-120 cm long.

At shorter boards the
kick area gets scarce
for the manoeuvers, at
longer boards the
tropic
becomes to large.

The
mastbase can be fixed at the
board by means of
powerjoint and
adapter
(eg. F2 ). Just drill a hole in
the board and fix it with a reverse screw.

Big
inline-wheels, eg. 80 mm diameter or
more, are recommended, because it's easier
to ride safe on a
rough and uneven road. Place
broader wheels (5-8cm in width) on the
back trucks
to avoid
spin-outs. In order to prevent blocking of the
front wheels
(eg. stones) it is advisable to place narrower
wheels (1.5cm in width) on the
front trucks. Check it out !!

2 tips left: With that the skateboard can not tilt forward
or backward
it is recommended to install the
trucks
at the front- and backend of the board,
except you want to kick the board deliberately
(check Freestyle Moves).

To get on the board a better
liability it is advisable to
paste a
rough griptape.
